This male friend of mine, along with one of his male friend, my girl Grace and I had this heated debate about relationships between Caribbean girls and American guys, vice versa. One of the guys stated that Caribbean girls
o are anti-social in his opinion, that they wouldn’t give American guys the time of day,
o refuse to dance with American guys at parties, just Caribbean guys
o look down on African girls on campus
o Would NEVER date an African guy
He further went on to state that Caribbean guys are very defensive when it comes to Caribbean girls dating anyone besides Caribbean guys.
Speaking from an honest and neutral standpoint, Caribbean girls are somewhat turned off by the typical American’s guy approach (hey you come here). Caribbean or not, women love to be treated with respect and I just don’t think that this line or any line similar to that will cut it…..I don’t even know how it works sometimes, oh well, we’re all different.
Okay, I’ve witnessed this first hand………..they really do turn down the guys when they ask to dance cause half of the time (okay am being modest), ninety five percent of the time, the guy just seems unable to dance so the girl just refuses to give him the time of day…listen here girls, the guys are really impressed, maybe you should teach them a thing or two.
The part about looking down on African girls on campus, yes sadly,(sigh). I won’t delve into this one but I have seen ridiculing taking place….
Lastly, I don’t care if you’re Caribbean,American,Russian,Nepalese,African, love is love and it comes in all colours…………who you fall in love with is inevitable……4 out of 5 Caribbean girls that I asked if they would date an African guy said yes. I think that many of us have this misconstrued perception about African people.
As for the last issue about Caribbean guys being overprotective, I’ve never experienced such, any takers????
Who vex lose, furthermore you're only gonna hurt your muscles, so smile :)
